Hello hailex.

Do you have another Windows 8 computer?  If so, you could create a System Repair Disc and see if it can fix any damaged system files.  Here are the instructions.

Let me know the results.

Hello .

Here is what has been happening . My system files are all intact. With suggested booting techniques from hp support my Computer Boots up ( such as the win key + B key  and pressing power button for 15 sec ) etc .. so when the computer boots up ( some times it totally doesn't ) I can work just fine with win8.

I've figured out that(with repeated trial/errors ) that when ever I plug in the battery, its very likely that It will not bootup and I know the battery is old.

So now, how can I fix this error from within my running operating system?

Regards
