Hi, @REO51ST:
The driver installs, but you still have the ! mark. The driver is good for versions through W8.1. I tested it out. W10 is the only OS it doesn't work on.
I posted feedback to the W10 technical preview site several times.
I tried every trick in the book to get that ! mark go away, it will not in my son's nc6400 (model immediately preceeding the 6910p).
When you read the device manager driver window, it says the device is not present. Say what???
My solution...went into the BIOS, Ports menu, and disabled the infrared port.
SMSC Infrared Device no longer shows up with a ! in the device manager.
I have never used it anyway.
Don't you need an infrared remote control device for that?

I pulled that from one of your old posts.
Thought it would work for Win. 10.
