I need to be able to use a program that does not have a digitally signed driver.  I have used this software on previous machines with no problem.  With the new computer pressing the F8 key does not get me into an advanced boot menu where I can select "disable driver signature enforcement".  I have tried the BCDedit fixes and they don't work anymore from what I have read online.  Anybody know how to get into the advanced boot menu?

I had already tried using the F8 key as on previous computers but that ony opened up a HP screen similar to what you sent me about Win 8.1.  This interface had no provision for loading unsigned drivers.  I found that after escaping out of that interface if I immediately hit the F8 key it would bring up the familiar "advance boot options" black screen.  Thanks for your help.

That would be great if I was running Win 8 but I prefer Win 7.  Does this apply to 7 as well?

F8 should work for windows 7. press and hold F8 after power up.
