Hi:
When you get that what program do you want to use to open the file, can you select the correct program to open it? if so, isn't there a box to check that says always use this program...
Network adapter. Are you missing the drivers? Go into your device manager and look to see if there are devices missing drivers. They may be labeled as just an ethenet controller or other device with a little exclamation point.
That means they need a driver. In order to send you the link to the right driver, I need to know what model network card you have.
If you don't know, click on any missing devices in the device manager. Then click on the details tab. In the Porperties drop down list, select the second item (Hardware ID's). Post the top string of characters you see.
Those will ID the make and model of the device and, I can send you the link to the drivers.
Sorry but I know nothing about video games, so I can't help with that one.

Hi:
I would try running the system restore to a previous restore point where you knew this wasn't a problem.
I was looking at my Windows XP PC and I don't even see the .exe file to associate a program to open with.
If you have windows 7 on your PC go to the default programs menu and see if there is a setting to restore to default if the system restore doesn't work.
I don't have a W7 computer right now to look at.

Hi:
'
That isn't it.
Under the Hardware ID heading in the Properties menu, you should see a listing that looks something like this
Not the same letters and numbers, but the same layout.
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0592&SUBSYS_02541028&REV_12
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0592&SUBSYS_02541028
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0592&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0592&CC_0880
