Yes, I tried the one in your post first. All lI got was a blinking light and no connection. Just now, I removed the Atheros drivers completely.  Deleted all OEMxx.INF files.  Rebooted with a hardwire connection.

Windows update found v 10.0.067 which is even newer than what is posted at Atheros site.  Still will not connect to the WNDR3800 even with NO security.  Simply will not connect at all.   The wireless does work as I used it over the weekend at a motel.  I've had the Netgear WNDR3800 for over a month, but don't use my laptop much at home.  This was the first time I have tried.

I certainly won't replace it because I bought for specifically for the USB sharing feature.  But I would definitely like to get the HP laptop wireless working again.

I wish I could help, but I have no idea why it won't work.

Just happen to have a Linksys USB 150N adapter. Installed that and it works perfectly fine with the WNDR3800.  HP should contact Qualcomm to get this wireless driver fixed correctly.

I have also contacted Netgear to see if they have a solution.

Was messing around with the Netgear WNDR3800 settings and got it to work.

I had to set the WIFI to 54mbps only which effectivelyNETGEAR Router WNDR3800 - SeaMonkey.jpg turns off the MIMO features.

Thanks for the valuable information. The one thing I don't understand is how to download the driver set to my laptop if the WiFi connection have been severed because of a problem with the driver set. I tried to download the file, then copy it to a flash drive to install in on the laptop, but the application wanted to install in on my desktop.

Hi:

You have to download the file, and select Save, not Run.

Then just copy and paste the file to your flash drive.

Plug the flash drive into your other PC and copy and paste it to the hard drive or you can run it from the flash drive.

I updated to the latest 10.0.75 driver and still have the same problem.  Works fine if I set my router to 54MB speed, but won't work at N150 or N300.  Qualcom needs to fix the drivers.
