HP Pavilion 11x360 PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

I have a HP Pavilion 11x360 PC.

The sign of the sound has an x and said that: No audio output device is installed.

I checked and i have realtek high definition audio driver instaled and it said that is working properly.

When i troubleshoot sound problems it said that : Audio device is disabled.

Everithing was ok after i upgraded from win 8.1 to win 10  and i could listen music and videos . It hapens after a week or two.

I need your help please! Thank you for your time !

Hi @Federico1,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!

I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 11 x360 and your Audio device showing as disabled in Windows 10.

You could try this:

1. Right click speaker icon (right hand corner)
2. Select Playback devices
3. Right click Speakers
4. Enable it and set as Default
5. Click Apply/Ok.

If that does not resolve the sound, here is a link to help resolve the speakers and sound not working correctly.

The link to using the Windows troubleshooting tool is the best for this situation.

Please let me know how this goes.

Hi and thank you for responding to my request!

1. I am sorry but this solution  it does'n help me because when i select playback devices, there are no speakers to right clik, only the message: No audio devices are installed.

2. A hard reset? I don't know.I don't want to erase my hard if this is what it means.

3. Typing find and fix audio into search had no result but i already try the troubleshoot sound problems, cliking rigft the speaker icon, and the answer is: Problem found - audio device is disabled - not fixed.

And about the link, i already had installed winows 8.1 when i upgraded to windows 10 and there are no solutions for windows 10 in this link(whatever means update KB 2962407 it is for windows 8 not for win 10)

So what else can i do?

- maybe i need to reinstall the audio driver. Can you help me with the driver Realtek High Definition Audio Driver?

- maybe i should reinstall windows 10, or i should return to windows 8?

Waiting for your solution.

Thank you!
