There is a BIOS update to F.27 on the HP page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-dm4-1100-entertainment-notebook-pc-serie...

You have to change the page to show Windows 7 in order to see the BIOS updates.

Problem is, the HP BIOS updates tend to be OS-version specific, and your upgrading to Win10 is most likely going to prevent the BIOS upgrade from running.

You should have checked for BIOS upgrades BEFORE doing the Win10 upgrade.

Hello there, thanks for your imput.Im about to do some more digging on this subject but logic tells me having upgrading from windows 7 to 8 then throu 8.1 then why shouldnt 10 pro be any different? after all windows 10 is somewhat based on windows 7.to back this theory up even more so when it comes to system back up and recovery and also create iso/back-up discs it uses windows 7 in control panel.Having said all that i will give it ago and should it fail i have my original discs and iso back-up discs at my disposal,i love a challenge here goes,i shall post later to let you know,LAZZER9365
