Thanks so much for you help with these BIOS password. I am in need of help myself. I recently purchased a HP Elitebook 8470p from a DRMO sale (Government) and I am trying to get into the BIOS but, it needs password. I was wondering if you could help.

Croicon.
Remove AC and main battery.
Remove memory cover.
Remove the 2 screws marked for the keyboard.
Slide the 4 keyboard locks toward the front of the laptop.
These are located between the "F" keys "esc-f1, f4-f5, f8-f9 and f12-delete"
Lift the keyboard and remove the BIOS battery connector.
This will remove the SET-UP and Power-on passwords.

If you contact HP they will send a USB drive to help remove the password.
If not you will need to replace the BIOS chip.
This is your chip.
