BIOS Password Reset

Removing the BIOS battery does nothing.

I've just tried software from:

This tool found my BIOS version, Computername, Date & Time. Unfortunately after that I've got a mesage:

Of course I tried with short (4letters) password ;-(

Any idea? What shall I do?

I have a 8510p laptop that I let a friend borrow and it came back with a bios password lock. I am sure it was some prank gone wild.

I have a HP dv2500 the code after entering the password 3 times is 11186 I have been told it is a power on password if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance!
