Hi,

 

I have a HP EliteBook 8460p that I'm unable to access the BIOS due to a lost password and now have noticed that I'm unable to boot from USB or CD. I know boot options was disabled in the BIOS but obviously cannot get it to fix the problem. The Serial # is MXL2201JW5 and the iD is A0001D02. Is this all I need to provide or is there something else in order to get a fallback password to access the BIOS?

Hi guys,

 

I have HP 530. Motherboard was purchased and replaced. But unfortunately new motherboard lock by password. Power on password.

I have entered incorrect password many times but no messages like "system locked". 

Can I recover the password using my laptop's serial number ?

The serial number is CND8250J8L.

Could you help me with opening bios on my Comapq 6730b, s/n:CNU84D2FNX, p/n: GB99OEA#AKD.

 

Realy I don't have idea what is a password, probably it was set many years ago.

I tried this solution before. It didn't help.

So that's why I asked a possibility to use a default password generated usinf serial number.

I have a Probook 4425s that had been sitting in the closet for a while.

 

My Ex set BIOS passwords on it and can not remember wat they were
.

What informtion do I need to supply to get into the BIOS to change the passwords?
