Hi guys,
I'm trying to properly dual-boot Windows 10 Edu 64bit and Kubuntu 16.10 64bit. The problem is that on startup it's impossible to start GRUB, Windows is loaded automatically.
Is there a way to change UEFI boot order?
I tried several methods but Windows always overrides my changes; I managed to load GRUB only once by renaming the Windows OS Loader path to the GRUB one, but after I booted to Windows once again, it overrode my settings creating a new Windows OS Loader entry.
These are the methods I've already tried:
- Renaming the path as I said up here through bcdedit
- Using EasyUEFI to change boot order
- Using efibootmgr in Kubuntu
- Using boot-repair in Kubuntu
- Updating GRUB in Kubuntu
While on my desktop I have a BIOS setting that lets me change UEFI boot partition, I don't have anything similar on this laptop.
Let me know,
thanks.
