Hi,

is it safe to update my BIOS with SP74048?

My current BIOS data is:

Current system BIOS version: M73 Ver. 01.15

Current BIOS release Date: 07/24/2015

Video BIOS Revision: INTEL (R) VBIOS [5.5.1038]

Video BIOS Revision: AMD BR45784.001

I want to make sure that my laptop BIOS will not be corrupted if I used the update of SP74048

Thanks

Yes. It should complete without issue.

There are a few caveats.

You must perform the BIOS upgrade with power on and do not remove power before the update is complete.

If you fail to follow the two BIOS update rules  in the previous sentence, you could actually brick your notebook.

Brick=transform your notebook into a useless expensive paperweight.

The update appears to be  worthwhile. The following image shows most of the enhancements that are all rolled up into the latest BIOS update.

I would leave it alone.

If in the future a recovery is needed from a corrupt BIOS, the original BIOS version will be there.

(Windows key + the B key for BIOS recovery or rollback to previous version)
