Hello.. I just got a new HP Envy 15-J144TX touchsmart notebook. The HP assistant is promting for the latest BIOS update F.63. After some research here, ive noticed a lot of people who did update to the new BIOS or have done so with other versions earlier have faced major issues. I'm not a hardcore PC user and am not sure if i will be able to recover from it if anything goes wrong. Also, i checked on your support site that this update is for windows 7 and im using 8.1...why is my notebook getting this update then? please advise.
