Hi:

For the base system devices, you need this driver...

This package contains the driver and host controller for the Ricoh 5-in-1 Card Reader for the supported notebook models and operating systems.

File name: sp37614.exe

For the other device you need this driver...

This package contains the driver for the Conexant HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP (CX20548) in the supported notebook models and operating systems. This driver enables dial-up functionality and provides a user interface formodem setup.

File name: sp37817.exe

hi

thank you for the reply

the base system driver issue resolved but the audio issue is yet to resolve

this message is showing in the device status

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

You're very welcome.

It won't let you install the driver?

Can you install it manually?

That is the only driver that is going to work.

The device is the conexant modem that is missing the driver.

If you can't install it, you probably don't ever use the modem anyway nowadays.

its not  the modem that is my concern its the speakers that are not working . can you help resolve it?

the driver installed is conexant HD smart audio 221 v 4.36.7.60

HP Recommended

Try the Vista driver from your notebook's support and driver page would be the only suggestion I can offer.

Try manually installing it if the auto install method doesn't work.

This package contains Conexant High-Definition SmartAudio 221 drivers for the supported notebook models and operating systems.

Two drivers, which support both 32-bit and 64-bit systems, are included. During installation, the correct driver is automatically installed.

File name: sp40270.exe

Again, that is the only driver there is, so if the audio doesn't work, then I suggest you revert back to W7.
