Hi ,

Few days back i have replaced a montherboard chipset due to failure with the help of a laptop service engineer . My latop model is Compaq Presario CQ40 316AU and OS is Windows 7. Now its booting up . But now i have 2 other issues.

1) Bluetooth not working correctly

2) Sond is not at all working

I checked the Device Manager and and when i tried to update/install the missing drivers i can see an error that "Base System Device" driver is not getting installed.

Can anyone please advice

thanks,
Praveen~

Hi,

Go into Device Manager, right click on the problem device and select Properties.  Click the Details tab, choose Hardware Ids from the dropdown box and post back with the details shown under Value.  Repeat this for each device showing an error.
