Battery Doesn't fit anymore

I have an HP Pavilion dv7-1240us Entertainment Notebook PC
I just took it out of storage and relise thet the battery nologer clicks into place
upon closer inspection i see that the clip locks are kind of disloged and the battery cannot clip in properly

i cannot affor to take the laptop to the shp but am shure i can fix it myself if HP can furnidh me with a HOW TO on how to remove the back to take a look and fix it

otherwize this HP Pavilion dv7-1240us Entertainment Notebook PC works wonderfully I added two 1TB hard drives and increased the ram to 8GB and formatted it with Windoes 8 Pro and it purs like a kitten...

I pulled this older Service Manaual because you said you had your system in storage; this manual is from 2009 and may be a better match to your hardware:

Whether or not this alone with help is the question -- you may still need to buy a part or two.
