Seems odd that the 13,3" would share the same bios as the new 15".. it's not specced the same, got a dgpu, digitizer, hdmi port etc. I mean, sharing bios across different specs on the same model seems logical, but sharing bios with a completly different pc doesn't sound right. But you might be right, the new 15 inch does have a pen slot.

 

Edit: Read wrong, 15" doesnt have a pen slot

Anyone have a link to this update? I am about to return laptop # 2 sadly as losing 10% plus each 8 hours when shut down.....

On another note, can someone check what their max space on their 512 GB spectre is? Mine is 466 and I want to know if that is normal.

So after 12 hours OFF with BIOS USB charging enabled, fast boot enabled after the Sphinx (2?) fix and all other updates..

 

The windows battery report shows a 3% drop in battery life over 12 hours, from 39,178 mWh to 37,699 mWh...

Sphinx did nothing, not showing correct version. I think this one is going back to bb. In one week I have tested two new bios versions, read through 34 forum pages and tried some random file called sphinx. Unbelievable.

And now the laptop will not charge. Perfect.

 

It never did restart after doing the "flash.exe"...

 

Cannot flash bios since under 50% power.

 

Should I try the sphinx again? How long after flash should it shutdown?

More findings:

 

i7/8/256    

>    F04 BIOS, applied Sphinx Senchronize files.  Worked.   >  Upgraded BIOS to F11.  Sphinx fix is holding.

 

i5/8/256    

>  F04 BIOS, applied Spinx Sencrhonize files.  Did NOT work   >   Tried Sphinx again using latest files.  Sphinx seems to work now.  90% > 89% over 8.5hrs.

 

 

Reyemtm - after flash it doesn't take very long to shut down.  I feel like maybe 5 minutes?

I had to apply the Sphinx fix 2x to be able to charge again. I mentioned it in a previous post
