Hello there, i think i have same problems, i get to HP store reparation centra, they but one new battery into my 840 G1 ,and it say battery connected and in charge, but after i came vack home, i sow battery % goes down will connected to wallcharger, but it didn't really charge the battery up, so i think also there is solething wrong or the chargecontrole unite or fuse blowup in causes, i got back to store but couldn't help solve my problems farther, or would or could make big bill to repair ,so i use it only with the wal charger, but liked also as you ask to get more info to how i could get solve this by my self, but need the professional knowledge advice to doing it properly , thank you

Same exact issue wherein the battery shows charging for a short duration and then the progress stops.
Max out at 5%. Repeatedly unplugged and plugged back in, with the same result of charging stopping with power cord plugged in. Have tried two chargers, cords, power strips, and outlets.
Tried the steps recommended by the HP employee.
Has anyone found a resolution?
