Since upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10, the laptop shows a black screen after sleep or hibernate modes. The system seems to be starting up (hard drive, fan action), but no video. The system starts normally from a cold boot with no problem. This problem never occurred with Windows 7.

Hi @Bobby876,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!
I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP G60 Notebook and issues with Sleep mode after updating to Windows 10. I recommend to restore the BIOS defaults. You could restore the BIOS with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings. That way it will look at the Hardware installed on the Notebook.
You could try:
In the Device Manager, click the arrow
next to Display Adaptors to expand that category
Right-click on Graphics and select Update Driver Software if more than 1 Graphics adapter do 1 at a time.
Choose the option to Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software.
The Notebook should find and automatically install the updated driver
After the installation is complete, restart your Notebook.
You could try using the Windows Update Troubleshooting tool to fix any updates that have not come through for Windows 10. Please restart the Notebook twice to make sure all update have been completed!
Please let me know how this goes.
Thanks.

I have updated the BIOS but the problem still remains. Everything is OK when you "cold boot" but the problem is that the display stays black when returning from "sleep mode". Going to play with this for a little more but if I can't resolve I am traeting myself to a MacBook Air.
