I updated to the driver in the link and last night I started getting a new error and BSOD again. The new error is:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL(iastorA.sys)
Just as a note, I have already tried memtest and HDD check for errors and they come back clean.

Hey ja_hpenvy4,
I'm sorry you're having this issue. I tried to find anything other than what you've already done, that might help you troubleshoot this error. Since you've already tried updating drivers and tested the memory and hard drive, it looks like the quickest fix would be a Recovery, unfortunately.
In this thread from a different forum, the user tried several different things and got a lot of different advice all to no avail except for a recovery (on page 4). I realize that it isn't ideal but it's often the best solution.
Here are the steps for a Recovery - Windows 7
Here are the steps for a Reset - Windows 8
Let me know the results if you decide to do a recovery or if you have any questions.

I had the same problem. It was a Hitachi hard drive and i kept getting this bsod with iastor.sys. Tested the hard drive and turned out the drive had read failure. I got a western digital black edition 500 gb sata and cloned hitachi to this new one. Everything worked just fine after cloning. If you use a seagate or western digital hard drive as replacement, there is a free acronis cloning software which can be downloaded from their website. Once you download this iso file , you can make a bootable cd from it.

I am continuously getting this BSOD with iaStor.sys. I am not able to load windows 7 neither the recovery screen comes up when I press F11. On Pressing F11 at startup, it directly shows "Whindows is loading files..." and the BSOD comes again after loading is done. I do not have backup disks, it is there in the D Drive. Please help me in restoring my PC

Hi Sownak,
I understand that you are having issues with loading windows. To be able to assist you further with loading windows I would need a bit more information first. When did you start getting the error message? Where there any changes at that point? (ie. New software installed or updates). As well what is the full model number of your computer?
I have included a document here on the 'Guide to finding your product number?'
Thank you.

I started getting the error message just ike that. I do not think any significant WIndows update happened. Neither did I install any new software. I remember the blue screen came once about 3 weeks back, i just used HP Recovery and it did not come again. But one evening it came again and since then I am not able to load windows.
The full model number is HP ENVY Ultrabook 4-1030us
I have run complete diagnostics of Hard disk etc by pressing F2. everything shows fine, still I cannot load windows.
Thanks for the attention. I really need help on this.

Hi Sownak,
Thank you for the information. With regards to resolving the blue screen errors, I have included a document here from Microsoft. This will walk you through different options for software and hardware, to see what has caused the issue.
The other information I am included is for a Windows 7 computer does not start here. This will take you through a couple of different options to see if you can load into Windows.
Please let me know if this has been able to resolve the blue screen error, thank you.

Hi Lil_Lisa27,
I have followed all steps mentioned in the Microsoft site, none of them could load Windows 7. All of them gave the same BSOD with iaStor.sys.
Please note the I do not get the System Recovery Options when I use "Repair your computer"option. Windows tries to load directly after the message "Windows is loading files ..." and then the same BSOD comes.
A Hard reset did not help either. I think I was not able do a hard reset correctly since my laptop comes with a sealed battery.
This did not solve the problem.

Hi Sownak,
Thank you very much for the information. At this point please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region please click the link below to get the support number for your region. http://www.hp.com/cgi-bin/hpsupport/index.pl
The reason for this is, after going through the entire document and completing all steps that is a hardware issue within the computer. Our technical support department will go through the options with you.
Thank you.

Hi,
I have HP Envy 4-1043cl Utrabook which is similar to 1030us model. Mine was purchased at Costco last year. The system is suddenly getting the iaStorA.sys BSOD. I have talked to the Costco support folks and tried various things including updating BIOS, Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver, etc. and have not had success. The HP hard drive diagnostics shows no errors. I updated the OS to win 8.1 and I still get the error.
I am suspecting the power supply or something to do with the charging subsystem because the error does not occur when running on battery. It has not failed for a while on battery. As soon as I plug it into the wall, I get a blue screen pretty quickly. When I first bought the system last year, I had to send it in for repair because it would not power up. Hence I am suspecting that there may be a problemw the power supply or the charging system.
