This part of your response to another with this problem was exactly what I needed --"Playing my music from the iTunes software, in order to get that music onto the bluetooth speakers requires to go to iTunes Edit tab, then Preferences, then tab Display, and then choose "Play audio using Direct Sound". By default it seems set on "Windows Audio Session", and that doesn't work.".  Thanks so much for your response!

When I set up my bluetooth speaker, the very same one, to play music from the windows program, there was some other problem, which I stumbled around and fixed, but I wouldn't know what, because it just started working suddenly.  Seems like not only are there requirements for the particular pc, but the particular OS update, and then another layer with each program.  There must be some benefit of such a system to someone, but not to someone who just wants to play their music on their machine.
