Hi,

I could not log into my pc because i was presented with the bitlocker recovery key screen. I did not know the recovery key so i tried to perform a factory restore.

This could npt be done in the troubleshoot section becasue it said i had no restore points so looking online i found an article showing me how to unlock the drive. I followed the instructions but not really knowing what i was doing i managed to delete the partitions in the disk.

I created a new partition in the disk so i just have 1 partition. When i power up the pc i get the following:

Boot Device Not Found - please install operaing system on you hard disk

I have read similar posts on this forum and they mention performing a hard drive test by selecting f2 and choosing from the options but i don't have that as an option. I only have

memory test

storage test

language

exit

so then i read another post that says to enable the legacy support in the system configuration but i have a problem there too. i do not have that option all i can see is:

I think i've really messed it up and not sure how to fix it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If you deleted partitions on your disk you deleted Windows. The machine has no operating system to boot from.

You will need to contact HP Support to order Recovery Media to boot from and reinstall Windows. >Contact HP
