Hello.
I want to install Hardware Diagostics UEFI but when i try to do so it says that it can't find HPTOOL partition and asks me if i want Hp Tools partition to be created. When I click yes it says that there already are 4 partitions on my main drive.
So I was wondering if I could use a thid party program and convert HPDOCS partition from pimary to logical then shrink one of the other partitions to free up space will this allow the Hardware Diagnostics UEFI setup to create the HPTOOLS partition and install.

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
Riddle_Decipher is at your service.
As I Understand you want to know if you can convert HPDOCS partition from primary to logical,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Did you know that HP doesn't support or recommend making changes to the partitions on your system?
If you didn't, I must let you know that you may void the software warranty if the partition is divided further than the pre-installed or pre-created partitions using the recovery manager, that said, If you wish to change it using the 3rd party programs as you've mentioned before, you may do so at your own discretion.
Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,
It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.

When my laptop is running on battery (not charging) and I am playing games on it the fan is kind of loud and the game lags from time to time.
When the laptop is charging and I am playing games on it the fan is very loud but when i stop playing and just surf the net the fan goes back to normal.
Can you help me solve this issue?

Thank you for responding,
In my experience, the computer would only do this if the hardware is either barely compatible with the game or isn't designed for gaming, that said, I would appreciate if you could reply back with the product number for further assistance regarding performance issues.
Also, you may attempt reducing the visual effects of windows and play the game with reduced graphics resolution as that should help reduce the computers burden 😉
Try updating the windows, video card drivers and the BIOS to resolve minor fan issues: Click here to find drivers offered by HP.
Let me know how that works out, keep me in the loop and Good luck! 😉

Thank you for replying with this response 😉
I appreciate your time and efforts,
I'd like to let you know that this product is not designed for gaming and hence doesn't have fans or the coolers a gaming laptop such the Omen or Voodoo PC's would normally have, hence though the specifications match the games it's not advisable to play them on your PC.
If you wish to continue, either way, I recommend the below steps:
Even if the game is compatible with your system hardware it may have a slow performance because you are using the windows 8, 8.1 or 10 as the OS uses most of the CPU & graphics card usage, you might want to reduce the visual effects for windows to save the amount of CPU & Graphics card usage required to run your game properly.
Here's how you do it:
-
Go to Start Menu > click on Settings.
-
Type performance > choose Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.
-
In the new window, go to the Visual Effects and select Adjust for best performance.
-
click Apply and ok...this should do the trick.
Let me know how that works out, keep me in the loop and Good luck! 😉
