I recently started having trouble booting up windows 7. I can boot safe mode no problem.
Can the spXXXXX.exe file to upgrade the bios be run from windows safe mode?
I have a pavilion dv3t on F.13, and planning to upgrade to the current F.15
thanks

I would not upgrade the BIOS when having problems with the operating system. You could be setting yourself up for problems.
If your notebook has the UEFI environment you can upgrade the BIOS from the HP Advanced System Diagnostics--> BIOS Management.
If you will identify your notebook with the entire product nam or product number I may be able to help your further.
Remove the battery to see the p/n. Post it here please.
