I'm looking at buying an HP chromebook but need to know if I can use it with office 365 as I need to access Microsoft word documents

No, you can't. You can't install Office 365 on a Chromebook. You can use apps or try:

Hi,thankyou iv spent all day trying to find out and there is so much conflicting information i was even more confused! I need it for Uni so def need to be able to access word & powerpoint

Hi,

There are many Windows tablets around. I've got one Windows 8.1 tablet, very happy with it during my holiday recently. I can use Word, Excel (all pre-installed - not TRIAL version). There are also many 14" light laptops around if you need Office, you can even buy an Apple.

Office.live.com  lets me log into office 365 on my chromebook.  Do not download the app for a chromebook, just open chrome and go to office.live.com   Hope this helps.
