Have found no other solution than remaining with the old BIOS which seems to work just fine.

I have not experienced the left mouse click problem. I am using a Logitech M510 wireless mouse.

My problems with this CD/DVD trouble began in June 2013 - and began again yesterday, July 1 2015 on a newly completely rebuilt computer (May 2015). It's likely maleware because no antivirus program finds it, no BIOS or hardware swaps solve it and a total rebuild only lasted two months. Have posted my find below on other HP Forum CD/DVD popping open topics.
