Hp Omen 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Wish to clean install windows 10 on brand new HP Omen 15 to remove bloatware, wondering if this voids the warranty?

Hi:

For operating system support...Yes it will.

You would have to reinstall the original operating system using the recovery media you made for warranty support for W10 operating system problems.

Never mind ...

There's a partition in the disk storage specifically allocated to recovery by HP so all I have to do is back up the files in that partition into another drive and I'm good?

No.

What you need to do is to create your set of recovery media.

Then you should be able to do whatever you want, and if necessary use the recovery media to return the configuration to its 'out of the box' condition.

There should be a recovery manager program on your PC which gives you the option to create a USB recovery flash drive or a set of DVD's.
