According to my records for your generation of the CQ61, the M620 was offered and is compatible. Please make sure you're running the latest BIOS before upgrading.

Also, I can't emphasize enough that by doing this upgrade, you do run the risk of having a non-functional notebook on your hands.

I am a UK Customer, there is a lack of availability of UK Laptop AMD Processors.

i ve just upgrade my cq61 with a new proceccor AMD TURION M620.

everything is working properly but my pc does not recognize my 4 gb  of ram.

it stays to 2 gb ram.

any help?
