I am using Compaq nw9440 workstation, orginally equipped whith OS Win XP Professional.
Recently I installed the OS Win 7 professional 64 bit. The computer works very well but infortunately I couldn't find any driver/softwares for "PCI SIMPLE COMMUNICATION CONTROLLER".

Here are the driver details (Hardware ID's) :

=====================================

PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_803D&SUBSYS_309F103C&REV_00
PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_803D&SUBSYS_309F103C
PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_803D&CC_078000
PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_803D&CC_0780

==============================================

Where can I find compliant drivers / softwares?
Thanks.

The Vista 64 bit drivers should work:

PCI simple communications controller is usually the modem but the numbers you posted mean a TI card reader.

I cannot find a 64 bit driver for the card reader on the HP site.

Have you tried using Windows Update to find the driver?

The indicated  device is really the TI card reader. I haven't found a 64 bit driver on the HP site, nor using Windows update. Accessing to windows update, all devices on the computer are recognized and the relative drivers installed, except  the TI card reader.

Thanks all the same

Try this....unpack the zip file and force install. Point the driver updater directly to the .inf file.

This is from cnet.com which is trustworthy and says it works on Windows 2003 64 bit which means it should work on Windows 7 64 bit.
