I'm trying to burn a CD from my Pavillion G6 notebook and when I try in iTunes I get the error message "Disk burner or software not found". I then tried in Windows Media Player, because sometimes iTunes updates do more bad than good and I recently updated iTunes. In Windows Media Player I get this message..."Connect a burner and restart the player". I've never had a problem burning music from my comp to a CD before and often do to use in my car. I have no idea how to fix this or why my computer suddenly stopped allowing me to make CDs.

Hi,

Try following the procedure under the sub-heading ResolutionMethod 3: Manually fix corrupted registry entries on the link below to remove the Upper and Lower filters and see if this helps the issue.

Hi,

Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager, expand DVD/CD-ROM Drives, right click the drive and select Properties - on the General tab, is there an error code showing in the Device status box?

"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"

This is the error code I get.

Thanks!
