My HP Victus (model # 16-e1085cl / spec sheet) isn't working with my Dell WD19S docking station. When I plug it in, the laptop recognizes some of the peripherals (mouse/keyboard) that are plugged into the docking station, however, it does not charge the laptop nor detect the monitors. I confirmed the monitors and docking station work with my company laptop (Dell Latitude), so I believe there may be a compatibility issue with the HP laptop.

From other posts I've read here, I don't think this HP laptop supports Thunderbolt (just USB-C SuperSpeed), but it specifically says "USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort 1.4." Is this not enough for this docking station?

I don't know the Dell dock but your machine requires 200 W Smart AC power adapter. What is the wattage rating of your Dell dock ? It may not have enough power to charge your machine

Thanks for the quick reply - I see you often in these threads and appreciate your contributions to solving these issues!

I believe the power supplied by the docking station is 180 W based on the specs found here.

I also have an HP Envy x360 which works fine with this docking station (and has the same description for the USB-C port). This is what is confusing me about the incompatibility. That laptop doesn't say Thunderbolt either...

Your HP Envy ONLY requires 65W charger. I use 100W charger for my Envy  and they work.
