You can also try the below shown step if you really want to try
Stick a paperclip in the fan grille and hold the blades from spinning as you blow in compressed air.
See if you get a cloud of dust with chunks. Once in a while a big dust chunk is holding the fan from spinning and you get the error you describe. Most often it means the fan needs to be replaced and that is a fairly big job.
Note: Based on the warranty of your HP unit you can get the fan part replaced if that's not working
