My compter HP Notebook Model 15-e067si (Windows 8.1) has a DVD writer called hp DVD-RAM_ UJ8DB.

I would like to know if this DVD writer can do Dual Layer burning?

I want to create DVD videos with PowerDirector 11 software and I am trying to determine what DVD disks to use.

I have about 48 GB of raw/unedited footage from a recent Europe tour and will have to use several DVDs, so if I could use dual layer DVDs, I could keep the number of DVDs to a minimum. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi,

It certainly should be able to burn to dual layer discs - you can check all the media capabilities of your optical drive using the free application on the following link.

Thank you David PK. I downloaded the vso software, installed it and ran and it gave me all the answers I required!
