Hp Elitebook 840 G7 and G8
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everybody,

I am looking forward to buying the HP Elitebook 840 G7, but I have a doubt. What changes from the G7 to the G8?

I read online that the G8's battery life is almost half that of the G7, but it has a better processor (I suppose Intel 11th gen).

Is this true? Does the G8 model have an 11th gen processor?

Is the battery life that reduced from G7 to G8?

Are there any other things that are different between those two devices?

Is it easy to install Linux Ubuntu on the HP Elitebook 840 G8?

Thank you in advance,

Hans

@Hans52

The very first thing is Gen 7 machines use Intel Gen 10 processors and G 8 machines use Intel Gen 11 processors.

Regards.

@banhien

Thank you for your help, but is the battery life reduced? Does anything else change between those two devices (like screen, upgradability, keyboard, trackpad, etc.)?

Thanks in advance,

Hans Carlo Sirch
