I have been scouring the web for a solution and yours works for a majority of the issue. With your solution, everything works even on computer start up, but Windows 7 does not detect a biometric fingerprint scanner, but it is there.
Now if I download windows_wbf_tek_4_3_34_0_digital_persona_fma and install that exe it will be detected by Windows 7 and registered fingerprints recognized. But in installing this solution, the Biometric fingerprint reader does not start after computer has been shut down.
So it is a give and take issue, do I want Windows 7 to detect the Biometric fingerprint scanner or do I want the biometric fingerprint scanner to work when I restart my computer?
This issue seems to be happening to many individuals and I have to say that your solution is the best that I have seen so far, so yes, Kudos! I wish there would be a fix to where Windows 7 detects the Validity Sensor and works on computer start up. My issue started when I had to have a new system board put in my HP Pavilion dv7, so hopefully many others will find your solution.
