Hi,

I recently purchased a DV6-7030tx and have been having some trouble running older games at below the native 1080p resolution.

I believe I need to disable "Maintain Display Scaling" under panel fit, but this option doesn't seem to be able to be disabled. I'm running the latest drivers for both the Intel HD 4000 and Nvidia Geforce GT 630M graphics that have been made available through HP Support Assistance. I was looking at downloading later drivers directly from Intel/Nvidia but was hesitant due to the switchable graphics issues I've heard about before.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Nevermind, I figured it out. There's a hotkey in the Intel HD Graphics setup (default Ctrl-Alt-F11) to enable/disable panel fitting. I didn't think to look there because the games were using Nvidia gfx at the time. Turns out it works for the Nvidia card too. Hope this helps someone else in the future.

What's the problem that you're actually having with the games?

Sorry, I should have explained that. When running old games below 1920 x 1080, the display is not scaling. It's rendering only at the smaller resolution with black bars around the screen. In this case KOTOR 1 and 2 are the games in question. There is no option I could find for scaling in the Nvidia software.
