I'd like know if the battery continue to charger "overcharge" when arrive to 100%. I generally use the laptop for gaming, and for the best perfomance I'd like to use it plugged, but I don't know if this can damage the battery or hardware. Generally, the new laptot and A/C adapter  are designed to detect if Battery is Full, once this occured the circuit will divert all the power from Ac to the system alone.  Id'l like know if this laptop have this particularity system for prevent damage and overcharge.  The  electricity flow bypass the battery when full charger " stop charging"  and send power directly to the system ?

Thanks for support.

Best regards

AC adapters with a center pin like that are called SMART adapters.

The pin is used to communicate with the CPU.

When the battery reaches 100% the CPU tells the adapter it is full and not to charge the battery any more.

It then bypasses the charging and switches just to the laptop.

Your very welcome.

I worked for the DOD, that picture is my daughter.

She's manning a .50cal machine gun turret on an armored vehicle when she was on one of her three tours in Kuwait, Iraq and then Afghanistan.
