Does my hp probook 6560b have a discrete graphics card?

  I've just been given a HP ProBook 6560b laptop through my college, and from everything I've read online (here and other sites) it should have a discrete AMD Radeon HD 6470M card in addition to the integrated intel HD 3000. My windows experience index gave my regular Graphics a score of 4.7 and my Gaming Graphics a 6.1, which would make sense with switchable graphics.

  My problem is that I am unable to "find" this graphics card. When I go into Device Manager the only thing listed under Display Adapters is "Intel(R) HD Graphics Family". DirectX Diagnostics and detailed performance and system information under the Windows Experience Index list only "Intel(R) HD Graphics Family" as well, and the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel has "Built-In Display" as the only Display option.

  So the internet and my Experience Index are telling me I should have discrete graphics, but I'm seriously doubting it since my laptop doesn't seem to be aware of it's existence. Is there any way to tell for sure short of opening the laptop to look at the hardware?? (NOT something I'm gonna do)

Hi:

Most HP business notebooks come with different graphics options for the same model.

When you look at the link you provided the description states for models with discrete graphics you get both.

However there are 6560b models that do not come with discrete graphics, such as this one:

How to tell for sure...google your part number found under the serial number on the bottom of your PC, and you should find a similar page like what I posted above. It will tell you exactly what came with that specific 6560b build.

The fact that you do not see an AMD dedicated video solution in your device manager, leads me to believe you only have the Intel UMA graphics -- HD 3000.

The one you linked turned out to be my laptop, which is rather disappointing as I was hoping to buy my laptop off the college if it came with discrete graphics. Thank you so much for the reply, I would have gone crazy not knowing for sure.

I know you are disappointed, but those are some great WEI scores for integrated graphics, and your notebook will run cooler, and the battery should run longer between charges.
