Possibly a previous version can be installed:

Nothing, this one crashes too, without even a message of why.

I installed this one  sp62236, which seems to install properly.

The icon at the bottom left of th desktop passes from "no connection" icon to "no connection available" (the signal bars with a red cross). There are plenty of wifis here so it should see it. I also try connecting with wire and it doesnt detect anything.

To verify the status of the installed wireless devices, follow the steps below.

  1. Click Start , enter mobility into the search field, and then select Windows Mobility Center from the list.

  2. On the Windows Mobility Center window, this graphics shows the Wireless Network is Connected .

  3. On the Windows Mobility Center window, this graphics shows the Wireless Network is Wireless off . ClickTurn wireless on to turn on the device.

Your wireless network device(s) are now turned on via Windows Mobility Center.

And finally, when everything looked really bad, the good news came:

--Regarding network adapter matter:

I confused the color of wireless status light, so....yeah....it was not activated, nice one Mike.

--Ethernet controller

Installed, success.

--PCI

Installes, success.

--SM BUS

Installed, success, and USB working.

--ACPI

Failure. Apparently I don't have a hardware, accelerometer, needed. Not into fancy software, not a problem.

Last two matters to deal with:

--Audio drivers (the audio is just fine, but I asume there will be some improvements in the hp drivers)

--Video . I tried installing the ones for Windows 8 without success. This ones trully mater, as resolution is not very acceptable.

We are getting there.

Some models enable or disable the wireless network, software or a combination of keys, fn + 11 for example

Thanks for that,

Could you please provide drivers for both audio and video?

Hi there,

--Audio

It didn't like the file or installed properly, but I outodectected the ATI high definition anyway doing something else, so no problem, all good

--Video

Success

-- Mouse+Keyboard

I think these drivers are the last thing I need

Thank you

Hi,

Everything working fine. Thanks a lot for your help.

Although you might have heard this before, and it might be a pure policy thing, I would suggest passing a message to HP allowing for older drivers to new computers.

Thanks for everything,

Mike
