Hi,

Try downloading and installing the Proximity Sensor driver on the following link.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56001-56500/sp56426.exe

When the installation has completed, restart the notebook.

Hi,

You're welcome :generic:

Regarding the device that's still missing a driver, do the following.

Go back into Device Manager, right click on the problem device and select Properties.  Click the Details tab, choose Hardware Ids from the dropdown box and post back with the details shown under Value.

Hi,

That's starnge as the device id is definitely for the card reader.  Can you let me know if you have a 32bit or 64bit installation of Windows 7 Professional.

Hi,

yeah it is strange. I am using Win 7 Pro 64-bit. The driver missing is the card reader. I insterted Untitled.pngan sd card and it didnt read which confirmed that card reader is not working. The installation is successful but still drivers are not detected. Attached screen shot is enough to explain.

I was thinking if i should manually install the drivers forcefully. take a look at the screenshot meanwhile i'll try installing the driver manually.
