EliteBook 840 G3 BIOS, "Smart Card Reader Power Setting" does not work properly

Elitebook 840 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

we deploy Windows10 through SCCM, we tweak some BIOS settings with BiosConfigUtility during the tasksequence.

One setting is giving me issues,

Smart Card Reader Power Setting (if present)
*Always powered on
Powered on if card is present

There is no issue actually setting it, the problem is that the smartcard reader only shows up if i go into BIOS Settings through F10 and then exit, it does not matter if i Save and Exit or not.

I verified that the value actually changes with :getvalue after manuelly setting it with biosconfigutility.

More info:

BIOS ver.  N75 01.05

Smart Card Reader Power Setting (if present), the setting itself can be accesed through BIOS under the name "Smart Card Power Savings" which is confusing and makes no sense.

Anyone else with similar issues ?
