Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I'm setting up this laptop and keep trying to download the software/driver for the webcam but keep getting error messages saying it's not compatible.    I don't show the webcam in my device manager. Tried showing hiden devices and just about everything else.  Can anyone help me please.

Dear Customer,

Welcome to the HP Consumer Support Forum!!

Please boot the unit to BIOS. To boot to BIOS, restart the unit and keep tapping F10. Once you are in BIOS, go to system configuration > Built in Device options > Enable Integrated Camera  by check mark in the box > save the changes and exit.

Now go to device manager and check if the webcam is listed under Imaging devices.

If the webcam is listed in device manager, please try and install the following driver:

HP Webcam Software (International):

Let me know if the webcam is enabled in BIOS and if it is listed in device manager.

In case if the webcam is not listed in device manager, the issue seems to be with the webcam itself.

If the webcam was working fine eralier, you may try system restore to previous working condition and check.

Still if the webcam is not showing in device manager, I strongly recommend you to immediately Contact HP Technical Support over the Phone for further assistance without any delay to get your unit diagnosed and serviced by an authorized HP Certified Engineer.

I don't think I ever got into BIOS  tapped F10 for at least a minute or more.  I restarted twice and completely shut down once.   What am I looking for. When I search System configuration from the start menu the webcam is not showing up anywhere.
