Elitebook 8560p
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I need assistance with appropriate Drivers Selection for my Laptop with Windows 10. For now I have to combine drivers from all types of laptops with similar components.

A list of drivers from the SoftPaq server would be nice so us, the users of 3rd generation of Elitebooks, can somehow find usefull and "fresh" drivers.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Vedro

The HP quickspecs for this model will provide you with details on what could be included in your model

Hello,

sorry for my later reply.

Quicksecs, You provided do not help me nothing. I am aware, what components are built in my laptop. The problem is non existing drivers for Windows 10. HP does not provide them anymore. If there is no interest in providing approprate drivers, at least it would be appreciated if HP would specify which drivers from later models are compatible. This would save allot thrown away hours for searching/testing adequate drivers.

Best regards,

Vedran

So, for your system, 8560, if Windows 10 native support does not have drivers then no new drivers will be available. Same is true for the 8570 class of laptop. Drivers may be in Windows 10 media but no new drivers are created for the components in these older models

In my opinion, native support is very, very, very, loosely defined. Why? Whell, because I managed (with the help of google, this forum, forums of other manufacturers, namely Lenovo & Dell) to install working drivers for all hardware on my laptop on Windows 10, and none of the drivers are natively supported for Elitebook 8560p (or at least that was the impression that I got from the HP`s drivers site).

The "only" thing I had to do i to thoroughly investigate later Elitebook models and compare hardware + forum suggestions.

I understand that supporting such diversity of hardware that HP has is a big thing, but it would be nice to lets say have some type of support for "no-native" support. I believe that I am not the only one who is struggling with similar issues.

Infact it should be in a some way even a compliment for quality and robustnes that some older series laptops are still "alive and kicking" 🙂

I consider myself a advanced user and my laptop is my mobile office. I did SSD, RAM (16GB) upgrade and laptop got wings.... Other aspects of the laptop I consider top knotch and plan to purchase a new model when this wont do anymore, either due to wear or lack of performanse. But eather way it would be a nice "gesture" knowing that there is a possibility for some kind of support with drivers.

If maintaining some kind of "non-native" driver support would take to much of HP resourses, I am quite sure that we, users, would like to participate. Maybe here on the forum, with a special area (threads) where we could post tested drivers on our configurations, with the possibilty to neatly stack information.

Best regards,

Vedran
