Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Please can you advice if it possible to upgrade my envy 13_d000nx memory from 8 Gb ram to 16 Gb ram?

Absolutely positive. And yes, that means if there is an issue with the memory, the motherboard has to be replaced. But that is extremely unlikely to happen.

Service Manual

Support for LPDDR3-1600 dual channel, onboard memory

Also look at the list of motherboards on page 16...

Equipped with an Intel Core i7-6500U 2.50-GHz (SC turbo up to 3.10-GHz) processor (1600-MHz FSB, 4.0-MB L3 cache, dual core, 15-W [dynamic PL1 to 8.5-W]), 8.0-GB of system memory, and the Windows 10 Professional operating system

Those are some good-looking laptops, but to make them that thin they have to solder stuff to the motherboard, including memory. The memory on your model is soldered on and cannot be altered. I also have a laptop with 8 gigs soldered on and used to have one with 16 gigs and I am not finding that I miss the 16 gigs.
