Absolutely positive. And yes, that means if there is an issue with the memory, the motherboard has to be replaced. But that is extremely unlikely to happen.

Also look at the list of motherboards on page 16...

Those are some good-looking laptops, but to make them that thin they have to solder stuff to the motherboard, including memory. The memory on your model is soldered on and cannot be altered. I also have a laptop with 8 gigs soldered on and used to have one with 16 gigs and I am not finding that I miss the 16 gigs.
