Envy 13t-1100 WG152AV
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

The other day my beloved HP Envy 13t-1100 (WG152AV) shut down suddenly .

Now it will not start at all.  When I press the Power button the screen flashes white (completely) and goes blank.  No fan, no beeps, and no flashing lights on the keybaord.

I have tried hard reset (>60 seconds) multiple times with no effect

The problem is independent of the 4Cell battey connected, the 6 cell battery connected, no battery connected.

I have confirmed that the power adapter is working.  The only modification I made was to swap out the HD for a SSD several year ago.

I have been reviewing the forum but have yet to find a similar problem / solution.

Please advise.

Bob

Hi @Bachnet ,

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read about your HP Envy 13t-1100 Notebook and getting a blank or black screen on startup. Try performing a hard reset.

When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.

Did you try reseating the memory? Take a look at the document on computer will not start.

Have you tried to reseat the HDD?

Please let me know.

Thanks.

Mrstenter,

Thanks for the suggestions.

To check the HD/connection  I did replace the SSD with the original HD that came with the laptop.  (No Change)

I did reseat the memory (No Change)

I do not have any non-essential devices connected, but did reattempt hard resets (No Change)

Thanks again for the suggesstions.  Any other ideas?

Regards,

Bob

Hi @Bachnet ,

Are you getting any lights on the Notebook at all?

Do you hear any fans?

You might have to take the Notebook to a repair center to have the parts tested.

Thanks.

I am inclined to think it is a harware problem that will require me to send it in.  I was just hoping there was something I had not tried.

Hi @Bachnet ,

I think you will have to have the Notebook tested to see what parts are not loading. If you can get to the BIOS, I recommend to restore the BIOS defaults with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings.

Thanks.
