Please help

I've had an external display set up since I got my laptop - HP Envy

I've always connected to it via HDMI to my USB-C port

Literally overnight it's stopped working

So far I've tested:

All the cables - and brand new ones - all working

Adapters - and brand new ones - all working

USB C Port - all working

Its as if the laptop is not sending out a signal?? - It's not being seen no matter which screen I plug it into

I'd really appreciate your help - working without an additoinal screen is extremely hard in my line of work

Thanks

N

I had the same or a similar problem (see https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/External-display-via-HDMI-not-detecte... ), a Power Reset (turn laptop off, hold power button for at least 15 seconds) did the trick.

(Depending on your laptop model, the key for the Power Reset is different, see https://support.hp.com/vn-en/product/hp-envy-touchsmart-17-j000-quad-edition-notebook-pc-series/5404...)
