Envy Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Automatic update just updated the BIOS in my laptop to F.25 and now the HDMI port no longer recognizes an external display.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Is there a fix available?

Hi,

Can you post back with the full Model No. and Product No. of your Envy notebook - you can usually get this by holding down the fn key and pressing esc, otherwise see Here for a guide on locating this information.

Regards,

I am having the same issue with my laptop!  BIOS F.25 caused my HDMI port to stop working on my HP 15t-ae100.  My Model No. is  HP ENVY Notebook and Product No. is M9U50AV.  BIOS version is F.25 dated 12/16/15.  Please let me know how I can fix this.

Try to do a BIOS reset.  Hit F10 when your computer boots and on the last screen, click on "Reset to factory defaults".  That fixed my HDMI port with the BIOS F.25.  I also uninstalled my Intel Video drives and installed the most current drives.   Hope that helps!
