My daughter sent me that on her 2nd or 3rd tour in Afghanistan. (Can't remember.)

She came home on the 3rd tour as a Wounded Worrier.

She maned or as I like to say she womaned a .50 Cal in a turret.

Injured by an IED and came home after that.

The best day of my life was to see her again.

Stay strong and stay proud if there is anything I can help you with in the future just let me know.

Best regards to you and your family.

Tim, you are VERY BLESSED to have such a daughter!!! I am proud of my service and those who served before, during, and after I did. They are ALL MY HEROES!!! Anyone who signed on that dotted line wrote the government a blank check saying they (and the families that support them) would be willing to give anything up to, and including, their LIFE in defense and support of our CONSTITUTION, RIGHTS, AND FREEDOM that our U.S.A. was founded on, is a PATRIOT AND HERO in my eyes!! Tell my sister, I thank her for her service and she will remain in my prayers for what shew has to go through!

Hi, Ken:

Unfortunately, I don't know what model it is (1.0/1.1) if you are referring to the motherboard.

I retired from the U.S. Coast Guard in 1997.

Thanks for your service as well Paul!!! Yes I want to buy a new motherboard but don't know if The HP I am working on is (HP G62-340US) is a model 1.0 or 1.1.

Thanks, Ken.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to get the part number off the motherboard and cross reference it with what is listed in the G62 service manual.

There should be a sticker in the motherboard that has a part number that indicates 'Replace with HP Spare," and there will be a HP part number arranged like this...######-###.

The trouble is a used computer and no tag!

I did not serve in the military myself I was DOD and retired (GS-13) after the GLCM BG109's where removed from Europe.

My daughter Christina (AKA Scooter) was born February 29, 1988 at Bitburg Air Force Base West Germany.

And as you can tell tomorrow is her 7th birthday.

As a gift to you for your service I have a large stock of i3, i5 and some i7 ProBooks and EliteBooks and I would be honored to ship to you one free of charge. (AC, Battery and OS included.)

When I get to the warehouse in the morning I will let you know what exactly I have and see if one is acceptable to you.

Best regards,

Tim

I have a stack of 50+ HP 8460p Elitebooks and decided that is what I would use.

It is an Intel i5-2520M 2.50Ghz.

Hard drive is a Hitachi 320gb 7200 rpm.

Since I am a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher I only have W7 Home Premium 32bit.

It will have 4gb DDR3 10600.

The image just finished so I will have Mel in shipping send it out tomorrow.

Regards,

Tim
