Hi, I have a Compaq Presario CQ58 with no recovery disk is there anyway i could reboot my notebook back to factory settings? i have tried everything i can think of, probably doesnt help im useless with technology. thank you in advance!

Hi,
Have you tried tapping away F11 key as soon as you power on laptop, and enter recovery console. From here you should be able to do factory reset if your recovery partition is intact or not corrupted.
No other way I know of getting it back to factory configuration other than by ordering HP Recovery USB directly from HP support for a cost of ~$60
If your laptop came with Windows 7 from factory and you can clearly read all 25 characters of product activation key from COA sticker, then you can try clean install of Windows 7 (with the same edition that came from factory), by following the suggestions from Paul here in this thread: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/want-windows-7-back/td-p/592555...
