Yah, it still blinks, but you'll notice it turns off after a number of blinks. (mine turns off after 4 blinks, meaning the graphics is not functioning properly, probably needs to be resoldered). After a hard reset, use the power adapter, not the battery.

Follow the methods
a) Remove the memory ram clean and lightly rub with sand paper and insert power on the system.
b) Remove the internal cmos battery and reinsert
c) Remove the dust in the air vents with cleaning air blower
d) if SYSTEM start run your antivirus some time it was blocking bootup
e) if not start the system disconnect the fan then heat will rise that time system will automaticaly on again run the fan for system cooling
f) system on changs or reinstall your OS it will reset all items

try a hard reset instead: ( it is much safer)
Remove the battery and unplug the DC power adapter.
press and hold the power button for more than fifteen seconds.
plug in the DC power adapter (leave the battery out for now)
press the power button
